Switch to save money off your fuel bills

 Norwich's Big Switch and Save

Norwich’s Big Switch and Save is a collective switching scheme run by Norwich City Council. Its main aim is to save people money on their fuel bills and reduce fuel poverty.

Collective switching is when a large group of people joins together and uses people power to negotiate a better deal on individual gas and electricity bills.

Norwich’s first ever Big Switch and Save scheme was run in autumn 2012. Since then it has been run another five times with the sixth tranche currently open for new registrants.
Now in the seventh round of the scheme, more than 6,500 people have already signed up with over 70 per cent offered a saving.
The scheme is open to homeowners, tenants, homes with prepaid meters and businesses.

The average savings are about £221 a year.
